Last updated: pre-launch private testing phase
WolfMark Ltd operates Qwiz Live. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect and how we use it while the service is in private testing for invited hosts and their audiences.
Information we collect
- Account email — used to create and sign in to host accounts, send essential service emails (confirmations, password resets), and for account recovery.
- Quiz and room data — rooms you create, question packs (including custom questions and answers), session history, and settings such as overlay preferences or player caps.
- Player data during sessions — display names chosen by participants, answers selected, response times, scores, and ranks for the duration of an active quiz session and its recap. Players do not create persistent accounts.
- Technical and connection information — logs needed to keep the service running (connection status, error reports, overlay presence signals so hosts can see whether their stream overlay is receiving updates).
- Cookies and browser storage — used for host login sessions and to let viewers rejoin or restore their place in an active quiz if they refresh the page. Viewer session tokens are stored locally in the browser on the viewer’s device and are not shared across devices or accounts.
- Messages you send us — any emails or support requests you send to the addresses listed on the Support page.
How we use the information
We use the data to deliver the core service: hosts running live quizzes, viewers participating from phones or browsers, real-time scoring and leaderboards on stream, and post-session recaps and exports. We also use it to maintain account access, detect and fix problems, and respond to support requests.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell personal data. We use trusted infrastructure and service providers to host the application, store data, and deliver the service reliably. Those providers process data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and users.
Retention
Active session data (player answers, scores, etc.) is kept while the session is running and for a reasonable period afterwards so hosts can review recaps. Hosts can end sessions explicitly. We retain account and room data for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the service. Support correspondence is kept for a limited time to handle follow-ups.
Exact retention periods may change as the service matures; we will update this page when they do.
Your choices
Hosts can manage their own rooms, packs, and sessions from the dashboard. Viewers control only the display name they enter for a given session. To request deletion of your host account or associated data, or to ask about player data from a session you hosted, contact us via the Support page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy information as the service develops. The “last updated” date at the top will reflect material changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised description.
This is a placeholder policy for private pre-launch testing. WolfMark Ltd is the legal entity responsible for Qwiz Live. A solicitor-reviewed version will be published before wider or paid access.
