Quick start

Run your first live quiz with Qwiz Live in a few minutes.

   Create an account

   Go to Sign in and create a host account with your email. You’ll use this to manage rooms, packs, and run quizzes.

   Create a room

   From the dashboard, open Live rooms and create a new room. Each room gets a short code, a viewer play link, a QR code, and an OBS overlay link.

   Choose a question pack

   Use a starter pack (General Knowledge, Gaming, etc.) or duplicate one to your account so you can customise it. You can also create your own questions.

   Start a 5-question test quiz

   On the room page, pick your pack and use the “use 5 for quick test” option. Start the session. This gives you a fast local run to check everything works before inviting viewers.

   Open the viewer link

   Copy the play link (or show the QR). Open it on your phone or another browser tab to test as a viewer. Viewers join with just a display name — no account needed.

   Open the overlay link in OBS

   Copy the OBS browser source link from the room. Add it as a Browser Source in OBS (see the OBS setup guide for recommended size and settings).

   Run the quiz

   Use the Live Console to open questions, reveal answers, show the leaderboard, QR, BRB, or podium. Viewers answer on their devices while the overlay updates live on your stream.

   When you’re done, end the session from the console or room page to see the full recap.
